Waynesville- Gerald Marvin Kelly, 77 of Waynesville, GA., passed away Sunday (February 9, 2020) at Hospice of the Golden Isles in Brunswick following an extended illness.
Born in Charleston, SC., his parents were James Marvin Kelly and Mildred Irene Lloyd Kelly.
Mr. Kelly served many years in the United States Air Force and also worked as a trainman for Seaboard Coastline. He enjoyed doing puzzles, working on clocks and watches and was a member of Waynesville Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Donna Powell Kelly, of Waynesville; 3 daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa Diane Gibson (Teddy), of Raybon, Amy Irene Kelly, of Nahunta, Dana Kathleen Miller (Jim), of Hickox; 5 grandchildren, Cayla Depratter (Marlan), of Raybon, Tyler Gibson (Cassie), of Raybon, Emily Miller, of Hickox, Austin Miller, of Hickox, and Brittany Henderson, of Waverly, GA.; 5 great grandchildren, Caislyn Depratter, Micah Depratter, Lila Depratter, Livie Depratter, and Raegan Depratter; sister and brother-in-law, Joan Kelly Sweat (Clinton), of Waynesville. Also several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday (February 12, 2020) at 1PM at Frye Funeral Home with Rev. Bruce Dean officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service starting at 12 PM at the chapel.
Burial will follow in Smyrna Cemetery with military honors.
Pallbearers will be Jim Miller, Tyler Gibson, Austin Miller, Clinton Sweat, Kenny Holcomb, and Don Hendrix.
Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
