Gerald 'Wayne' O'Berry

Gerald “Wayne” O’Berry, 68, of Wray, GA passed away Thursday evening (January 26, 2017) at his residence after an extended illness.

Born in Jesup, GA his parents were John H. and Ina Loper O’Berry. He is also preceded in death by 2 brothers, Pete O’Berry and Harold O’Berry.

Wayne worked at Joe’s Lumber Yard and attended the DeBerry Baptist Church. He loved working around the house and in the yard, going to car shows, being a mechanic, reading his Bible and prayed every day.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Sue O’Berry of Wray; 2 brothers, Johnny O’Berry of Waycross and Sammy O’Berry of South Carolina; 2 sisters and brothers-in-law, Donna & Billy Flowers of Wray and Darlene & Robert Driggers of Waycross; and also several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A funeral service will be held Sunday afternoon (January 29, 2017) at 3PM at the Chapel of Frye Funeral Home with Rev. Bruce Dean.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
