Gertrude W. Lee

Winokur- Lettie Gertrude "Gertie" Warner Lee, 80 of Winokur, passed away Saturday (July 6, 2013) at her daughter's residence following an extended illness. Born in Atkinson, GA, her parents were Lewis and Sara Lettie Keene Warner. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Rev. George Randall Lee; five brothers, Noah Phillip Warner, Henry Warner, Billy Warner, Barney Warner, and Jack Warner; 2 sisters, Janie Elizabeth Kersey, and Tiny Lee. Gertie was a homemaker and a member of Winokur Baptist Church. She loved watching game shows, reading, and fishing. Survivors include 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Harold E. Lee (Brenda), of Lilburn, GA, and Anthony R. Lee (Sandra), of Hortense; 2 daughters and a son-in-law, Sharon Lowther (Groce), of Folkston, and Kathy Herrin, of Hickox; special "daughter"; Melissa & Howard Bare of Nashville, GA; 9 grandchildren, Cynthia Livingood, Paul Lee, Kristina Poole (Jim), Jason Lee, Ed Lowther (Mary) Bethany Lowther, Melissa McCullough (Jimmy), Jamin Herrin & Jared Bare; 11 great grandchildren, Hunter Livingood, Caleb Lee, Gabriel Lee, Caroline Lowther, Lindy Lowther, Edie Lowther, Cassie McCullough, Rachel McCullough, Matthew Poole, Emma Poole & Kathryn Poole; and also several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening (July 9, 2013) at 6 PM at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta. A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday morning (July 10, 2013) at 11AM at the chapel of Frye Funeral with Rev. Wayne Manning, Rev. E.C. Crews & Rev. Leon Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Winokur Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jamin Herrin, Caleb Lee, Jason Lee, Paul Lee, Ed Lowther, Gabriel Lee and Cliff Adams Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
