Glenn Alan Thrift, Sr.

March 20, 1963 — May 2, 2021

Hoboken – Glenn Alan Thrift, Sr., 58, of Hoboken passed away Sunday morning (May 2, 2021) at his residence following an extended illness.

Born in Jesup, Ga. his parents are Riley” Cap” Thrift and Gonzella Crews Thrift of Hoboken; he is preceded in death by his wife, Kimberly Crews Thrift.

Glenn was employed by Dale Lee Construction as a Brick mason and a member of the Hoboken Baptist Church. He loved hunting, fishing, and was very mechanically inclined.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Glenn Alan Thrift, Jr. (Ranie) of Jesup; a daughter and son-in-law, Shannon Moore (Ronnie) of Blackshear; 5 grandchildren, Dylan Lee Moore, Dakota Moore, Landen Gauge Moore, Alayna Marie Thrift, and Adalynn Serenity Thrift; 2 great grandchildren, Brantley Gracen Moore and Ryder Chase Moore; His parents, Riley “ Cap” Thrift and Gonzella Crews Thrift; 6 siblings and their spouses, Edward Thrift (Gloria) of Raybon, Ronald Thrift (Ginger) of Hortense, Gregg Thrift (Faye) of Hoboken, Betty Gail Dyal of Hoboken, Teddy Thrift (Elizabeth) of Nahunta, and Rosemary Harris (Skipper) of Hoboken.

Due to the COVID-19, we would like to ask all to please follow the rules for social distancing, also face mask are highly recommended at the service. Anyone who does not feel comfortable with attending the service the family would like you to know they understand and covet your prayers.

Visitation will be held Monday evening (May 3, 2021) from 2:30PM to 3PM at High Bluff Cemetery in Hoboken.

A graveside service will be held Monday evening (May 3, 2021) at 3PM at High Bluff Cemetery in Hoboken with Rev. Tim Rowell officiating.

Pallbearers will be Alan Thrift, Derrick Campbell, Teddy Thrift, Edward Thrift, Ronald Thrift, and Gregg Thrift.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
