Gregory Keith Stone

Hortense – Gregory Keith Stone, 54, of Hortense passed away Sunday afternoon (January 3, 2021) at his residence after an extended illness.

Born in Kenosha, WI his parents are George Stone and the late Mildred Eloise Huffstuttler Stone. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Marie Antoinette Vernon Stone.

Gregory was a heating and air technician for Certified Electric and loved his family, hunting, fishing and working on cars.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Allen Keith & Mindy Stone of Waverly; 2 grandchildren, Gregory Stone and Ashbi Stone of Waverly; his father, George Stone of Brunswick; a sister and brother-in-law, Sandy & Steve Newsome of Brunswick; a brother, George Robert Stone of Brunswick; niece, Pam & Jack Horne of Waverly; special friends, Bonnie & John Daly of Brunswick; and also several other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Due to the COVID-19, the family would like to ask all to please follow the rules for social distancing and face mask are highly recommended at the service. Also, anyone who does not feel comfortable with attending the services the family would like for you to know they understand and covet your prayers.

A graveside service will be held at Mt. Olive Cemetery, Waynesville, GA., on Friday (January 8, 2021) at 11 AM with Pastor Aaron Gibson officiating. A visitation will be held 30 minutes prior to service starting at 10:30 AM.
