Harry Lee Oliver

Hortense- Harry Lee Oliver, 53 of Hortense, passed away on Sunday (February 18, 2024) at Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick following an extended illness.

Born in Homerville, GA his parents were James Oliver and Shirley Strickland Duggan. He was also preceded in death by his stepdad, Ben Duggan; a sister, Norma Jean Moody and several aunts and uncles.

Harry worked many years as a welder for Ace Pole and was a caretaker for his deceased uncles. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and loved his family and loved to argue with them.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Brock Oliver (Molly) and Cason Oliver (Ashley) all of Hortense; five grandchildren, Ranger Rowell, Tegan Oliver, Raulin Oliver, Reese Oliver and Tate Oliver all of Hortense; five brothers, Edward Oliver (Tammis) of Manor, Timmy Oliver of Hortense, Dean Oliver (Becky) of Brunswick, Wayne Oliver (Diane) of Manor, and Little James Oliver (Ashley) of Waycross; aunt and uncle, Mary Lee Oliver (John) of Hortense; special great aunt, Hazel Rogers of Darien; and special friends, Paula and Mark Jacobs of Twin Rivers. Also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Visitation will be held Wednesday (February 21, 2024) from 1PM-2PM at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday (February 21, 2024) at 2PM at the Chapel of Frye Funeral Home with Rev. Sheldon Rowell officiating.
