Hazel Highsmith Greer

Colorado-Hazel L. Highsmith Greer, 90, passed away Sunday (March 18, 2012) at Brookside Inn Nursing Facility in Castle Rock, CO. Born in Lulaton, GA, her parents were James N. and Zoie (Strickland) Highsmith, she is also preceded in death by a son, James B. Greer, Jr.; her grandparents, Henry Clay and Maggie Highsmith, and two former husbands; Arthur A. Justice and James B. Greer. Survivors include two sons, Floyd B. Justice (Deborah) of Castle Rock, CO, and Thomas W. Greer (Jeanne) of Mercer, PA.; 5 grandchildren; Christopher(Danica) Justice, Michael (Edie) Justice, Jason Greer, Heather Greer, and Katrina Greer; 5 great-grandchildren; Hugh, Owen, Clive, Alexa, and Anneliese Justice.; and 2 sisters, Louise Stewart of Jacksonville, FL, and Carolyn Hatch of Mobile, AL. Also several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. A memorial service will be held Saturday afternoon (April 28, 2012)at 1pm, at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta. She will be buried next to her parents, in Nahunta. Memorialization will be by cremation. Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
