Helen Mae Crawford

Helen Mae Crawford, 63, of Brunswick passed away Wednesday evening (June 24, 2015) at Southeast Georgia Health System, in Brunswick, GA. following an extended illness. Born in Fernandina Beach, FL., her parents were Lewis Crawford and Hazel Drawdy Crawford. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Merrell Stephens; and a granddaughter, Casey Baker. Helen was a homemaker. She loved flowers, and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include her four daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon Stephens (Mark Odum), of Brunswick, Christina Stephens (Gary Cowden), of Brunswick, Kimberly Baker (Scotty), of Andersonville, and Mary Stephens, of Brunswick; eight grandchildren, Kenneth Baker, Curtis Baker, Shyanne Baker, Amber Baker, Bridgett Baker, Jessie Neely, Jasmine Neely, and Rose Bud Neely; one great grandchild, Sophie Grace Baker; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Jearil Crawford (Cathy), of Virginia, and Mike Crawford (Susan), of Montana; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda Heath, of Brunswick, Kathy Brockway (Seaborn), of Luthersville, Donna Chasteen (Tony), of Brunswick, and Rachel Morano, of Brunswick. Also several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service Friday (June 26, 2015) from 3-4pm at Frye Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held Friday (June 26, 2015) at 4PM at Frye Funeral Home with Bishop Raymond Willis officiating. Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
