Hoboken-Herman William Dorow, Jr., 81 of Hoboken, passed away early Saturday morning (July 7,2012) at Hospice of The Golden Isles in Brunswick, GA. following a brief illness. Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, his parents were the late Herman William Dorow, Sr and Elmira Rhinehart Dorow. He is also preceded in death by a son, Richard E. Dorow. Herman was self-employed as a chicken hatcher and served in the United States Army during the Korean conflict and received a purple heart and bronze star also was a lifetime member of the D.A.V. (Disabled American Veterans). Herman was of the Christian faith. Survivors include his wife, Vila Van Deraa of Hoboken, 1 Son and his wife, Ronald E. and Norma St. John, 2 daughters, Ruth Elaine Dorow of Georgia and Robyn Ellen Dorow of Crossville, TN., 4 grandchildren Michael and Hannah St. John, Richard Ewell of Hoboken, and Dillon Notz of Albany, GA.. 1 Brother and his wife, James Edward and Lee Dorow of Monessa, PA., and one Sister, Carolina Buddymiere of Perryoppalis, PA., Also several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Visitation will be from 1PM to 2PM prior to service Tuesday afternoon (July 10,2012) at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held Tuesday afternoon (July 10,2012) at 2PM, at Frye Funeral Home Chapel in Nahunta, GA.. Burial will follow in Pilgrims Rest Cemetery. , Waynesville. Pallbearers will be Richard Van Deraa, Charles Van Deraa and Richard Ewell. Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta. Sympathy may be expressed by signing our online registry at fryefh.com.
