Hugh Paul Ruhlman, Jr.

St. Augustine, FL.- Hugh Paul Ruhlman, Jr., 73 of St. Augustine, FL., passed away suddenly Saturday (January 28, 2023).

Born in Mahoning, Pennsylvania, his parents were the late Hugh Paul Ruhlman, Sr. and Marion Core Ruhlman. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Phyllis Ruhlman.

Hugh graduated from Miami Dade College with an Associates Degree. He worked many years before retiring, as a Detective for the Jacksonville Sherriff’s Office. He was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Police. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife, Shari Baldwin Ruhlman, of St. Augustine; his daughter and son-in-law, Blair Landry (James), of Jacksonville Beach, FL.; two step-daughters and son-in-law, Tara Zalesky, of Jacksonville, FL., and Cali Abosini (Nate), of Orange Park, FL.; his step-son and daughter-in-law, Ryan Sorensen (Gabi), of Minden, Nebraska; two grandchildren, Jack and Carter Landry; and his sister, Linda Gibbs, of Tampa, FL. Also several nieces, nephews other relatives and a host of friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
