Jack Flemon O'Neal, 64 of Hoboken, passed away at his residence Monday morning (September 22, 2014) following an extended illness. Born in Nahunta, GA., his parents were the late Charlie Gilbert O'Neal and Marjorie Byrd O'Neal. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Janice Batten O'Neal; a daughter, Karen Misty O'Neal; and a brother, James O'Neal. Mr. O'Neal worked as a Boilermaker for the Local 26 Union. He was of the Baptist Faith and loved fishing, racing, watching History Channel; he was also a member of Masons Grand Lodge of Georgia, F. & A.M. of Macon, GA. Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Brian O'Neal (Brandi), of Hoboken; a daughter and son-in-law, Kiesha Thomas (Tracy), of Nahunta; 5 grandchildren, Taylor, Spencer, and Benjamin O'Neal, Hayle Carter, and Ally Thomas; 4sisters-in-law and their spouses, Ruby Waldron (Charles), of Waycross, Faye O'Neal (Lancewell), of Waycross, Edith Smith, of Hoboken, and Patsy Lee (Billy), also of Hoboken; special niece, Cindy Batten of Hoboken; special friend, Thomas Floyd also of Hoboken. Also several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening (September 23, 2014) from 6-8PM, at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta. A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday (September 24, 2014) at 1PM at Frye Funeral Home with Rev. Freddie Newman officiating. Pallbearers will be Jason Lee, Tony O'Neal, Tony Drury, Billy Lee, LaDale Hanchey, and Steve Wilson. Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Chesser, Chuck Waldron, Randy Lee, Local 26 Boilermakers, Mason Grand Lodge of GA, F & A.M. of Macon, GA. Pallbearers are asked to meet at the Funeral Home Wednesday by 12:30PM. interment will follow at The Knox Cemetery. Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
