James Allen Walker

James Allen Walker, 66 of Folkston, passed away early Thursday morning (August 11, 2016) at Southeast Georgia Health System, in Brunswick, following a brief illness.

Born in Jesup, GA., his parents were the late Allen Walker and Lillie Norman Walker. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, John Walker and Alice Crews Walker; and two sisters, Cenia Barrett and Darlene Snowden.

James worked many years in construction and was also employed with the Charlton County Road Department. He enjoyed fishing when he was able, and loved to walk.

Survivors include his two brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Julia Walker, of Nahunta, and Alvin and Patricia Walker, of Byron, GA; 12 nieces and nephews, 9 great nieces and nephews, and 3 cousins.

Visitation will be held Friday evening (August 12, 2016) from 6PM-8PM, at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.

A Funeral Service will be held Saturday morning (August 13, 2016) at 11AM at Frye Funeral Home with Rev. Alton Crews officiating.

Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Dale Johns, Marty Martin, Bobby Snowden, Stefan Rafnsson, Billy Snowden, and Joey Snowden.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
