James 'Buddy' Clifton Douberly

Nahunta-James "Buddy" Clifton Douberly, 71, passed away at his residence Thursday (November 13, 2014) following an extended illness. Born in Folkston, Ga., his parents were Claude Douberly and Mary Crews Douberly. He was also preceded in death by, Wife, Emma Lou Douberly of 24 years, and 2, Sisters, Mary Peggy Moore and Janice Williams. Buddy was a plumber for the Yulee Board of Education for many years. He loved selling poultry (chickens, ducks, etc.) and deer/fox hunting. Survivors include, 4 Children, Ricky Douberly (Christine) of Yulee, Fl., Darlene Douberly-Starling (Ben) of Fernandina, Fl., James Michael Douberly (Becky) of Yulee, Fl., and Benjamin Douberly of Nahunta. 2 Sisters, Claudine Harris of Nahunta and Ruth Strickland of Nahunta. 8 Grandchildren, Theresa, Roger, Colt, Nicki, Brittany, Nolan, Crystal, and Tony. 9 Great Grandchildren, Kweli, Tyreik, Mindy, James, Cheyenne, Serenity, Charley, Zoey, and Malachi. Also several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be held Friday (November 14, 2014) at 6:00-8:00PM at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday (November 15, 2014) at 2:00PM at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta with Rev. Charles Florey officiating. Burial will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ricky Douberly, Ricky Raleigh, Sam McGarrity, Archie Crews, Jerry Crews, and Terry Newton. Honorary Pallbearer, Paul Thomas. Family and pallbearers are asked to meet at the Funeral Home Saturday by 1:30PM. Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
