James “Buddy” Harvey Moody, 77 of Waynesville, passed away early Friday morning (July 19, 2019) at his residence following an extended illness.
Born in Brunswick, GA., his parents were Vernie Moody and Lehnora Hamilton Moody.
Buddy was employed with Hercules for 27 years and worked 10 years for Moreland. He enjoyed camping, fishing, and hunting.
Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Brenda Moody; 3 daughters and sons-in-law, Cindy Barber (Wayne), of Blackshear, GA, Sandra Thomas, of Brunswick, GA., and Felicia Thompson (Kevin), of Brunswick, GA.; stepdaughter, Millie Cooper (Jamie), also of Brunswick; 5 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Juanita Wilson, of Lenexa, KS, and Betty Moore, of Waynesville, GA. Also several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Funeral Services will be held Monday (July 22, 2019) at 11AM at Frye Funeral Home with Rev. Monroe Gill officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
Burial will follow in Homeward Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Adam Carter, Ashley Aldridge, Bert Herrin, Donnie O’Quinn, Josh Moody, and Donnie May.
Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
