James Dewey Warner, Sr.

James D. "Bud" Warner, Sr., 69, of Atkinson , GA. died early Friday morning (April 16, 2010) at his residence following at lengthy illness. Born in Hortense, GA, his parents were Dewey Warner and Estelle Manning Warner. He is also preceded in death by his 3 sisters, Janie Kelly, Shirley Herrin and Verdie Sheppard and 1 step-grandchild, Jeremy Woods. He was Land surveyor and attended Atkinson Church of God. He is survived by his Son and daughter-in-law, Jamie and Michell Warner of Hortense; 3 Stepdaughters, Vicki Brooks (Kenny) of Valdosta; Teresa Chambless of Nahunta; and Sherry Woods and David McKenzie of Atkinson; 2 Grandchildren, Shiann and Taylor Warner of Hortense; 6 Step Grandchildren, Lance, Steven and Kevin Middleton; Jennifer and Miranda LaRoche and Sonya Hope; 15 Step Great Grandchildren; also, several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be Saturday evening(April 17, 2010) starting at 6 pm at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta. Graveside services will be Sunday (April 18, 2010) at 2 p.m. at Warner-Ammons Cemetery, Atkinson with Rev. Deryl Davison officiating.
