James 'Jim' Edward Buchan

Waynesville- James "Jim" Edward Buchan, 77, of Waynesville died Sunday afternoon (April 3, 2011) at his residence after an extended illness. Born in Baxley, GA his parents were George T. and Jessie G. Brown Buchan. He is also preceded in death by 2 brothers, Eugene and Dan Buchan. Jim served in the United States Army and was a shoe repairer for Hendrix Shoe Shop. Also he was of the Baptist Faith. Jim loved working on shoes, animals and people and enjoyed fishing. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Buchan of Waynesville; 3 children, Ben Buchan of Gainesville, Wade Buchan of Brunswick and Malinda Buchan of Athens; 5 step-children, David Sanders, Roger Sanders, Brenda Miller, Barbara Sudberry and Robert Sanders all of Tennessee; 9 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 3 brothers, Donald , Gerald and Clayton Buchan; a sisters, Frances Walker; and also several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
