James "Jimmy" Earl Robinson

Hortense – James “Jimmy” Earl Robinson, 62, of Hortense, passed away Sunday (October 15, 2023) in Baxley, GA.

His parents were Delaner G. Robinson and Peggy Inez Sloan Hearn. He is also preceded in death by his step-father who raised him, Thomas J. Hearn, Jr.; maternal grandparents, Woodrow Potter Sloan and Nina Viola Jones Sloan; paternal grandparents, Beckie Mae Hodges Jones and Johnny Jones; and his niece, Christy Lane Douberly.

Jimmy was a member of the Satilla Missionary Baptist Church. He spent many years as a Roofer and started B & R Roofing with his friend Billy Joe Davis. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with family.

Survivors include his wife, Tammy Anderson Robinson of Hortense; 2 daughters and sons-in-law. Jennifer Robinson (Zak Perritt) of Blackshear, Lisa Williams (Timothy) of Waverly; 2 grandchildren, Greyson Perritt, Jocelyn Williams; his brother and sister-in-law, Anthony Dale Robinson (Kathy) of Hortense; his sister and brother-in-law, Peggy Lane (Joe) of Hortense; special friends, Sandy Cooper, and Billy Joe Davis; and a special pet, Shadow; also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service Wednesday (October 18, 2023) at 3PM at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday (October 18, 2023) at 4PM at Frye Funeral Home with Rev. Daniel Harris and Rev. Lamar Lee officiating.

Burial will follow in Satilla cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Kelly Byrd, Chris Byrd, Bama Wilson, Floyd Russell, Sandy Cooper, Billy Joe Davis, Zach Bullard, and Brandon Davis.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta, GA.
