James Joseph Devlin, Jr.

Nahunta - James Joseph Devlin, Jr., 69, of Jesup died Monday morning (May 11, 2015) at his residence after an extended illness. Born in Brunswick, GA his parents were James Joseph Devlin, Sr. and Helen Virginia Walters Devlin. James was a retired truck driver and attended Glynn Baptist Church of Thalmann, GA. He served in the United States Army, and he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Survivors include his long time companion, Donna Moore; his children, Joey Devlin(Margaret), Angie Devlin (Pat Sylvia), Gail Hudson, Troy Devlin (Michelle), Barry Edwards, Brandon Davis, Raymond Davis, Frank C. Wheeler, Jr., Joseph Wheeler, Frank Lee Wheeler, and Julian King; several grandchildren; several great grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Harry & Missy Devlin; 2 nephews, Matt Devlin and Charlie Williams; and also several other relatives. Visitation will be held Thursday afternoon (May 14, 2015) from 2-3pm at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta. A funeral service will be held Thursday afternoon (May 14, 2015) at 3pm at the Chapel of Frye Funeral Home with Rev. Darrell Joiner and Rev. Joe Guthrie officiating. A private burial will be held in Union Baptist Church Cemetery. The family would also like to give a special thanks to Heartland Hospice. Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
