Lulaton- James Michael “Mike” Kirkland, 64 of Lulaton, passed away Wednesday (August 25, 2021) at Southeast GA Health System, Camden Campus.
Born in Blackshear, GA ., his parents were James Albert Kirkland and Erma Jean Beverly Kirkland.
Mike worked as a truck driver for 20 years. He was a member of Waynesville Church of God and enjoyed fishing, spending time with his family and loved helping people.
Survivors include his wife, Linda “Cheryl” Kirkland, of Lulaton; 2 sons, Chris Kirkland, also of Lulaton, Brandon Kirkland, of Atkinson; a stepson, Stephen Bragg, of Lulaton; a stepdaughter and son-in-law, Sheila Lovell (James), of Nahunta; 6 grandchildren, Kelsey Bragg, Haley Kirkland, Danyel Bragg, Kailey Lovell, Christopher Kirkland, and Cameron Kirkland; 4 great grandchildren, Kenton Lee Bragg, Kisley Bragg, Atticus Bragg, and Kamry Drake Drew; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Tonya Love Sharpe (Kevin) and Pam Harris (Don). Also several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.
Graveside Services will be held Sunday (August 29, 2021) at 2PM at High Bluff Cemetery with Bro. Freddie Newman officiating. Visitation will be held thirty minutes prior to the service, at the cemetery.
Due to COVID-19, we would like to ask all to please follow the rules for social distancing, also face mask are highly recommended at the service. Anyone who does not feel comfortable with attending the service the family would like you to know they understand and covet your prayers.
