James Michael "Mike" Prescott

Waynesville- James Michael “Mike” Prescott, 69 of Waynesville, passed away suddenly Tuesday (October 11, 2022).

Born in Brunswick, GA., his parents are James Prescott, of Havana, FL. And Mary Elizabeth Harrison Linton, of Waynesville. He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Bernard Ellsworth Linton, Jr.

Mike worked as a Painter for many years before retiring. He was of the Baptist Faith and loved gardening, woodworking, fishing, and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Cinda Sroufe Prescott; two daughters, Jacee Prescott, of Waynesville, and Tanna Prescott, of Pensacola, FL.; three grandchildren; two great grandchildren; his mother, Mary Harrison Linton, of Waynesville; his father and stepmother, James Prescott (Dorothy), of Havana, FL.; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Beverly Clark (Tommy), of Waverly, Susan Rich, of Waynesville; a step brother and sister-in-law, Mike Linton (Denise), of Brunswick; a stepsister and a brother-in-law, Joyce Quarterman (Mike), of Guyton, and a half sister, Monica Prescott, of Brunswick. Also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday (October 21, 2022) at 12PM at Waynesville Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Wainright officiating.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Glynn County Humane Society; 4627 Hwy 17, Brunswick, GA. 31525.
