Jeanie Gibson

Nahunta- Rae Jean "Jeanie" Gibson, 71, of Nahunta died early Tuesday morning (April 5, 2011) at her residence after an extended illness. Born in Oklahoma her parents were William Nelson and Easter Lily Smith Lawson. Also she is preceded in death by her husband Franklin Gibson; 4 brothers, Willie "Bill" Lee Lawson, Grover Cleveland Lawson, Garland B. Lawson and Donald "Bud" Wayne Lawson; and a sister, Sue Brinson. Jeanie was a florist for many years and of the Baptist faith. Also she loved quilting, sewing, baking cakes, arts & crafts, bowling and working with flowers. Survivors include 7 children and their spouses, Franklin "Wayne" Gibson, Ronald Gene Gibson, Bruce Lawson Gibson(Yvonne), Teddy Deland Gibson(Lisa), Marcia Dowling(Stanley), Steven Lamar Gibson(Crista) and Angela Gibson Griner all of Raybon; 16 grandchildren, Jerimey, Delta & Brandon, Crystal & H.B., Kelly & Jamie, Justin, Sandy, Houston, Cayla & Marlan, Tyler, Lacie, Kinsley, Jinsey, Bailey and Zach and Lindy and Brayden; 10 great grandchildren, Bailey Grace, Bentley, Hayes, Cash, Mia Kate, Caislyn, Haili and Zoie; 4 sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary Brock(AB) of Oklahoma, Ann Colwell(Woody) of Missouri, Faye Rogers of Henrietta, OK and Donna "Sis" Lawson of Oklahoma; a sister-in-law, Duane Freeman(Billy) of Brunswick; and also several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening (April 6, 2011) from 6-8PM at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta. A graveside service will be held Thursday morning (April 7, 2011) at 11AM at Oak Grove Cemetery in Raybon with Rev. Raymond Willis officiating. Pallbearers will be Kelly Gibson, Justin Gibson, Houston Douwling, Marlan Depratter, Tyler Gibson, Zach Gibson and H.B. Bates. Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
