Jessie R. Lee

Waycross – Jessie R. Lee, 86, of Waycross passed away Wednesday morning (December 15, 2021) at Satilla Hospice House in Waycross, GA after an extended illness.

Born in Hortense, GA her parents were John Franklin Roberson and Mary Estelle Roberson. She is also preceded in death by her husband Edward Lee; 3 sons, Alton Lee, Eddie Lee, and Billy Henderson; and her grandson, Jason Lee.

Jessie worked at Pantry Pride as a cashier where she later retired. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. In her spare time, she loved to crochet.

Survivors include: 2 sons and a daughter-in-law; Franklin Henderson of Valdosta and John Henderson (Penny) of Statham, GA, a daughter, Linda Barrett (Doug Cobbs) of Jacksonville; 9 grandchildren, Jennifer Bassett, Joseph Henderson, Ashley Henderson, Cody Henderson, Helen Henderson, Michelle Barrett-Miller, Rebecca Barrett, Carla Sprinkle, and William Henderson; 21 great grandchildren, 1 brother, 6 sisters, and many other nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A Graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2022, at 11:00 AM, at High Bluff Cemetery, Hoboken, GA.
