Nahunta-Mrs. Jewell "Diane" Herrin Steedley,60, of Nahunta died early Saturday morning (July 5,2014) at The Mayo Clinic in Waycross, Georgia from an apparent heart attack. Born in Jesup, Georgia her parents were Ed Herrin and Pearl Eyvonne Hickox Herrin. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Chassie, 2-brothers, Morris and Wallace Herrin and 3-baby sisters. A homemaker Diane attended The Hickox Praise and Worship Church, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and other family and enjoyed cooking especially for events such as Bible School at her church. Survived by her loving husband of 11 years, Jimmy D. Steedley, of Nahunta, 2-sons and a daughter-in-law, Jamie J, Crews and Terry J. and Andrea Crews, all of Nahunta, 2-daughters, Lisa M. Crews and Jennifer R. Greene, both of Nahunta, 2-step-daughters, Amanda Gibson, of Brunswick and Michelle Quinnelly, of Nahunta, a God-Daughter, Glenda Segar, of Florida, 12-grandchildren, Cheyenne, J.T., Brenna, T.J., Brett, Brittany, Jack Lynn, Kyle Wayne, Hay Lea, Deacon, Damien and Devon, 2-great-grandchildren also several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be held Monday evening (July 7, 2014) starting at 6 P.M. from The Hickox Praise and Worship Church at 1641 Buffalo Creek Dr. Nahunta, GA 31553. Funeral services for Diane Steedley will be held Tuesday morning (July 8, 2014) at 11 A.M. from The Hickox Praise and Worship Church with Rev. Otis Johns and Rev. David Batten officiating. Interment will follow in the family plot in The Bethlehem Cemetery. Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta. Sympathy may be expressed by signing our online registry at fryefh.com.
