Jim Kelly

Waynesville – Jim Kelly, Jr. 70, of Waynesville passed away early Wednesday morning (August 21, 2019) at Folkston Park Nursing and Rehabilitation after an extended illness.

Born in Jesup, GA his parents are Vivian Fields Kelly of Hollywood, FL and the late James Franklin, Sr. He is also preceded in death by a sister, Karen Smith.

Jim was a retired taxidermist who loved his family, hunting, fishing, NASCAR and all sports. He was also the first rec. department director in Brantley County and coach softball for many years.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Massey Kelly of Waynesville; 2 daughters, Cathy Kelly and Susie Kelly both of Waynesville; 2 grandchildren, Mikey Rhoden and Destiny Robinson; his mother, Vivian Fields Kelly of Hollywood, FL; a brother and sister-in-law, Kenny & Linda Kelly of Auburndale, FL; a sister, Dawn Sebag of Hollywood, FL; an uncle, Cecil & Christine Fields of Savannah, GA; and also several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Visitation will be held Friday evening (August 23, 2019) starting at 6PM at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.

A graveside service will be held Saturday morning (August 24, 2019) at 11am at Mt. Olive Cemetery with Rev. Horace Godfrey officiating.

Pallbearers will be Justin Copeland, Phillip Bessing, Mikey Rhoden, Mark Godfrey, Felton Batten, Sr., Felton Batten, Jr., Timmy Fitzgerald, and Buck Davis.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
