Waynesville-Mr. Jimmy Ray Williams, Sr., 58, of Waynesville, died Sunday afternoon (November 27, 2011) at Southeast Georgia Health System after an extended illness. Born in Folkston, GA, his parents were the late Robert Lewis & Willodine Steedley Williams. Jimmy worked as a logger with Coastal Logging Inc., and was of the Baptist faith. He also served in the United States Army and loved hunting, fishing, & Nascar racing. He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Cheryl Ann Williams of Waynesville; 2 sons and a daughter-in-law, Jimmy Ray & Jennifer Williams, Jr. & Lewis Alexander Williams both of Waynesville; 5 grandchildren, Abbiegail Williams, Alexis Williams, Zachary Williams, Shelby Williams, & Colton Williams; 2 brothers and a sister-in-law, Matthew Jackson Williams, Sr. of Hortense, & James Harold & Annie Lou Williams of Hickox; also several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Visitation will be held Tuesday (November 29, 2011) at 6 PM - until at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta. A Graveside service will be held Wednesday (November 30, 2011) at 2 PM at the Mt. Olive Cemetery, Waynesville, with Rev. Randy Wainright & Rev. Raymond Willis officiating. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Williams, Jr., Lewis Williams, Robbie Clark, Mike Smith, Robbie Williams, Vernon Bessing, Walter Story, & Bryan Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be Wesley Crane & Fred Rowe. Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta. Sympathy may be expressed by signing the online registry at www.fryefh.com.
