Hoboken-John Alexander Tallevast, II, 40 of Hoboken, passed away Saturday (November 23, 2013), at Mayo Clinic Health System, in Waycross GA, following an extended illness. Born in Waycross, GA., his parents were John Alexander and Lori Howell Tallevast. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Mitchell and Ella Mae Tallevast; and his maternal grandparents, Elbert and Nora Howell. John was of the Baptist Faith, and loved to be outdoors before his health failed him. He worked many years as a Boilermaker. Survivors include his two children, Taylor and Bayli Tallevast, of Hoboken; his mother, Lori Tallevast, of Hoboken; his father and step-mother, John Alexander Tallevast (Debbie), of Blackshear; a brother, Josh Tallevast, of Hoboken; the mother of his children, Christy Fret, of Hoboken; and three special friends, Diane Chancey and Gracie Chancey, and Lauren Moffitt. Also several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Visitation will be held Tuesday (November 26, 2013) at 6 Pm, at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta. A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday (November 27, 2013) at 2PM from the chapel of Frye Funeral Home with Rev. Tim King and Rev. Johnny Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in the Hortense Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brian O'Neal, Bill Bennett, Brook Crews, David Thrift, T.J. Thrift, and Mike Howell. Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
