John Joseph Nuebel

John Joseph Nuebel, 72, of Brunswick passed away Wednesday morning (February 12, 2025) at Orange Park Medical Center in Jacksonville after an extended illness.

Born in Waterloo, Iowa his parents were Leonard Joseph Nuebel and Mary Loretta Cobb Nuebel. He is also preceded in death by a sister, Colleen Mari Wiley.

John worked for the City of Clearwater and was of the Catholic faith. He loved antique cars and owned his own antique truck. John enjoyed going to car shows and entering his truck and won many trophies for his truck.

Survivors include his wife, Rena Nuebel of Brunswick; a step son, Michael Lemmond (Fiancé, Adrienne Purvis) of Brunswick; a step daughter, Nancy Shawn Smith of Brunswick; 3 grandchildren, Charlee Rena Smith, Kobe Fuller and Nova Grace Lemmond; 3 brothers and a sister-in-law, Mick Nuebel, Paul Nuebel and Jim Nuebel (Esther) all of Florida; 2 twin nephews, Sammy Nuebel and Eli Nuebel both of FL; and also several other relatives and a host of friends.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Monday (March 3, 2025) starting at 2pm at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.

A memorial service will be held Monday afternoon (March 3, 2025) at 3pm at the chapel of Frye Funeral Home.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
