John William Sharpe

Hickox-John William Sharpe, 73, of Hickox passed away late Friday night (September 13, 2013) at Mayo Clinic Health System in Waycross. He was the son of the late Jack and Flora Jordan Sharpe and was retired from The Federal Aviation Administration. The sparkle in his eyes always lit up for his sweet daughter who he held, spoiled, and loved for 21 yrs. He loved working in his yards and gardening. John is survived by his wife of 25 yrs., Sherry Thrift Sharpe of Hickox., 1 daughter, Sierra LaFayne Sharpe (Joey Daniels) of Nahunta., 3 Brother-in-Laws and their spouses, Robert Brooker (Brenda), Lamar Brooker (Mi), and Tony Thrift all of Atlanta. Also several other relatives. Visitation will be held Monday night (September 16, 2013) from 6-8 pm at Frye Funeral Home Chapel, Nahunta. Funeral Service will be held Tuesday morning (September 17,2013) at 11 AM at Frye Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Randy Wainright officiating. Burial will follow in Homeland Cemetery, Homeland, GA. Pallbearers will be Arthur Knowles, Billy Mickler, Brian Hendrix, Jimmy Davis, Gene Higginbotham, and Franklin Hobbs. Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
