Waynesville-Johnny Madison "Mack" Herrin, Sr., 61, of Waynesville, passed away early Saturday morning following a brief illness. Born in Waycross, Ga., his parents were the late Ross and Ruth Mobley Herrin. Mack was a Telephone Technician with Bell South and was of the Baptist faith .He loved fishing, hunting, and spending time with his grandkids. Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Johnny Madison Herrin, Jr. (Lindsay) of Vidalia, GA., and James Thomas Herrin, of Waynesville. Five grandchildren, two brothers and a sister-in-law, Jimmy Herrin of Waycross, Maurice Herrin (Debra) of Hickory Bluff, two sisters and brothers-in-law, Rosslyn Woods (Dennis), and Joyce Herndon (Bradley) both of Waycross, GA. Also several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. A memorial service will be held Monday evening (March 18, 2013) from 6 PM until 8 PM at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church at 7136 Central Ave.,Waycross, Georgia. Memorialization is by cremation.
