Hoboken-Joseph Wesley Dasher, 43 of Hoboken, passed away Monday (February 29, 2016) at his residence following an extended illness.
Born in Groton, Connecticut, his parents are the late Wesley David Dasher and Cora Mae Tillman Collins, of Hoboken. Along with his father he was also preceded in death by his daughter, Angel Dasher; and his sister, Louise Whittle.
Joseph was a member of Hoboken Baptist Church. He worked many years as a State Trooper, a Truck Driver, and was a Volunteer Fire Fighter for the City of Hoboken.
Survivors include his wife, Sheri Scholl Dasher; four sons and daughters-in-law, Barry Dasher (Shelby), of Hoboken, Wesley Dasher, of South Carolina, Scotti Bouchez (Stephany), of Illinois, and Nickolas Bouchez, also of Illinois; two daughters and a son-in-law, Rachelle Thigpen (Jody), of Hoboken, and Laynie Skinner, also of Hoboken; 10 grandchildren; his mother and step-father, Cora Mae Collins (John); four brothers and sisters-in-law, Jimmy Ruger (Alicia), of Blackshear, Johnny Collins (Darlene), of Nashville, GA, Jesse Collins, and Dennis Lane (Lorie), of Waynesville; three sisters, Hope, Connie, and Joyann Pittman, of Waycross. Also several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Visitation will be held Friday evening (March 4, 2016) from 6PM-7PM at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
A Memorial Service will be held Friday evening (March 4, 2016) at 7PM at Frye Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ben Glosson officiating.
Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
