Juanita Goolsby Vickers

Juanita Evelyn Goolsby Vickers, age 94 passed away Saturday (March 12, 2022) in her home in Nahunta, GA.
Juanita was born October 6, 1927 in Hazlehurst, GA., to the late Edgar Issac Goolsby and Lula Mae Vaughn Goolsby.
Juanita loved her God, her family, and her Church in that order. She loved to sew for her family when they were young and crafting, for her, was a joy. She will be greatly missed by all that loved her, and that was so many.
Juanita is survived by a daughter, Dianne Whidden (Owen), of West Palm Beach, FL; a sister, Frances Helen Goolsby Sapp, of Nahunta, GA.; grandchildren, April Whidden Torrence (Mark), Bryan Whidden, James “Jimmy” Vickers, Jr. (Shelly), Jason Vickers (Geneva), Amber Vickers, Joseph and John Swierzko; great grandchildren, Gavin Whidden, Devina Whidden, Bayne Whidden, Alysce Whidden, Kayley Torrence, Jacelyn Torrence, Bryan Whidden, Jr., Sabrina Vickers, Evelyn Vickers, Tyler Vickers, Dalton Vickers, Timmy Vickers, Olivia Vickers, and Shrader Vickers.
Juanita was preceded in death by her husband, James C. Vickers, of 68 years; her daughter, Joyce Marlyn Vickers; son, James Ira Vickers; grandson, Ricky Whidden; sisters, Wilma Selph and Aurelia Hawkins; brothers, Neil Goolsby, Watson Goolsby, Donald Goolsby, and Roy Goolsby.
A Celebration of her life will be held Saturday (March 26, 2022) at 1PM at Friendship Baptist Church in Kingsland, GA.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be given to the Church that she loved, Friendship Baptist Church; 480 W. King St. Kingsland, GA 31548.
Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
