Nahunta-Judith Ann Strickland, 58 of Nahunta, died early Monday morning (April 2, 2012) at her residence following an extended illness. Born in Jacksonville, Fl., her parents were Jack Clayton and Patience Marie Workman Strickland. She is also preceded in death by her brother, Jack Strickland. Judith was of the Baptist faith, she loved gardening, cooking, camping, yard selling, and she never met a stranger. Judith worked as a homemaker. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Myra & John Watson, Jr., of Nahunta; a son Robert Dale Connell, of Nahunta; 2 grandchildren, Kayla Watson, and John Watson, III; 2 brothers and sisters-in-law, Jeff & Kristina Strickland, of Jacksonville, Fl, David & Jan Strickland, of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; 3 sisters, Pam Strickland, Bonita Bodner, both of Jacksonville, Sandra Land, of Chipley, Fl; a sister-in-law, Carrie Carmichael, of St. Simons Island, a special friend, Barbara Bell, of Jacksonville, Fl, and also several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. A memorial service will be held Wednesday (April 4, 2012) at 3PM, at Frye Funeral Home, with Rev. Frank Jacobs officiating. A Visitation will be held an hour prior to service. Memorialization will be by cremation. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Heartland Hospice, of Brunswick. Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
