Judith "Judy" Kay Garlitz Goodyear, 74 of Hortense, passed away late Sunday night (December 7, 2014) at Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick, GA. following an extended illness. Her parents were James Earl Garlitz and Betty Lorraine Londergan Garlitz. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Henry Goodyear. Judy worked as a Placement Director for Job Corp before retiring. She enjoyed painting, art, crocheting, and loved to read. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Christos Antoniou (Shelley), of Plano, TX.; 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Seia Tompkins (Curtis), and Holly Lorraine Turner (Chris), both of Waynesville; 7 grandchildren, Carrie Toler (Anthony), of Brunswick, Benjamin Antoniou and Daniel Antoniou, both of Plano, TX., Caleb Johns, Eric Turner, Corinne Turner, and Sarah Grace Tompkins, all of Waynesville; 3 great grandchildren; brother and Sister-in-law, Steven Garlitz (Vicki). Also several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday (December 9, 2014) at 3PM at Frye Funeral Home with Rev. Keith Brown and Rev. Emory Wilson officiating. A Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service from 1PM-3PM, at Frye Funeral Home. Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
