Waynesville – Judith Louise Thompson Kelly, 65, of Waynesville passed away Wednesday (August 7, 2024) at Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick after a brief illness.
Born in Brunswick, GA her parents were Henry “Felton” Thompson and Ivey Hayes Thompson. She is also preceded in death by a son, Joshua Freeman Kelly and a brother, Don Reggie Thompson.
Judith was a teacher at Atkinson Elementary School and a member of Waynesville Baptist Church. She loved spending time with her grandbabies and her schoolchildren. Judith loved her church, being involved in the prison ministry and working in her yard.
Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Kelly of Waynesville; 3 sons and daughters-in-law, Dr. Adrian Miles Thompson (Chrissy) of Hortense, Kenneth Kelly, IV (Sara) of Taloga, OK and Andrew Jordan Kelly of Brunswick; 8 grandchildren, Aidan Thompson, Avery Thompson, Harper Ratliff, Nathaniel Kelly, Allison Hay, Brooklyn Kelly, Cash Kelly and Ethan Kelly; a sister, Elizabeth Handley of FL; and also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Saturday, (August 10, 2024) from 11am -12pm at Waynesville Baptist Church.
A funeral service will be held Saturday (August 10, 2024) at 12pm at Waynesville Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Wainright officiating. Burial will follow in Homeward Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Cody Kelly, Alan Crews, John Kelly, Phillip Kelly, Troy Newham and Robert Kennedy.
Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
