Justin 'Kody' Smith

Nahunta-Justin "Kody" Smith, 14 of Nahunta, passed away Monday morning (March 11, 2013) following injuries sustained in an accident. Born in Brunswick, GA, his parents are James Knox Smith, III, and Angela Renee Proctor Hand. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, William A. "W.A." Proctor. Kody was a student at Brantley County High School. He attended Atkinson Church of God of Prophecy, and enjoyed riding dirt bikes, four-wheelers, hunting, and he had a host of friends. Survivors include his parents, James Knox Smith, III, of Waynesville, and Angela Proctor Hand, of Nahunta; maternal grandmother and maternal step grandfather, Cheryl and David Watkins, of Brunswick; paternal grandfather, James Knox Smith, Jr., of Waynesville; paternal grandmother and paternal step grandfather, Mary and David Shadron, of Hortense; a brother, James William Smith, of Nahunta; and a sister, Taylor Cheyenne Smith, of Nahunta. Also several cousins and other relatives. A memorial service will be held Saturday morning (March 16, 2013) at 11AM at Atkinson Church of God of Prophecy with Rev. Raymond Willis officiating. Memorialization will be by cremation. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Atkinson Church of God of Prophecy Youth Group or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
