Katherine Anderson Harrell

Hortense – Katherine Anderson Harrell, 66, of Hortense passed away early Thursday morning (July 5, 2018) at her daughter’s residence after an extended illness.

Born in Jacksonville, FL her parents were Joseph Warren and Margie Benton Anderson. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Vernon Harrell, Sr.; a daughter, Katrina Chapman; a granddaughter, Beth Chapman; and 2 brothers, Daniel Stratton and Warren Anderson.

Mrs. Katherine was a homemaker and a member of Nahunta Church of God. She loved flowers, gardening, reading and sewing.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Kendra & Jeff Purvis of Atkinson; a son, Robert Harrell of Atkinson; 3 grandchildren, Adrinne Purvis, Ashley Purvis, and Lawton Chapman; a brother and sister-in-law, Melvin & Phyllis Anderson of Middleburg, FL; and also several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. And a host of friends.

Visitation will be held Sunday morning (July 8, 2018) from 10-11am at Nahunta Church of God.

A funeral service will be held Sunday morning (July 8, 2018) at 11am at Nahunta Church of God with Rev. Charles Florey officiating. Burial will follow in Harrell Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Kendra Purvis, Robert Harrell, Michael Ray Johns, Phil Rowe, Eric Smith, and Eddie Florey. Honorary pallbearers are Jill Brand and Jessica O’Berry.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
