Hortense – Kathleen Marie Martin Hobby, 59, of Hortense passed away Sunday evening (January 17, 2021) at Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick after an extended illness.
Born in Jacksonville, FL her parents are Fredia Mae Lowe Hall of Douglas and John Harold Martin.
Kathleen was a Walmart associate and enjoyed crafting.
Survivors include her husband, Richard Roy Hobby of Hortense; her daughter, Alicia Wilda-Mae Hobby of Hortense; her son, Richard Roy Hobby, II of Hortense; her mother, Fredia Mae Lowe Hall of Douglas; a brother, Mike Martin (Adrian) of Inglish, FL; 3 half-sisters, Lori Boher (Ernie) of FL, Leona Hall of Hoboken and Sandy Steedley of Douglas; also, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Due to the COVID-19, we would like to ask all to please follow the rules for social distancing and face mask are highly recommended at the service. Also, anyone who does not feel comfortable with attending the services the family would like for you to know they understand and covet your prayers.
A graveside service will be held Thursday morning (January 21, 2021) at 11am at High Bluff Cemetery in Hoboken.
Visitation will be held 30 minutes prior to the service Thursday morning (January 21, 2021) starting at 10:30am at High Bluff Cemetery.
Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home Nahunta, GA.
