Kathy O'Neal Steedley

Blackshear – Kathy O’Neal Steedley, 60, of Blackshear passed away Friday morning (February 19, 2016) at her residence after a brief illness.

Born in Waycross, GA her parents were Robert Nolan and Jeanette Johns O’Neal, Sr. She is also preceded in death by a brother, Garry O’Neal.

Kathy worked for Charlton Visiting Nurses as a RN and was of the Baptist faith. She loved her family, caring for her patients, and animals.

Survivors include her husband, Angier Steedley of Blackshear; her son and daughter-in-law, Kevis Stanley & Ruth Griffin of Brunswick; a daughter and son-in-law, Sheila Jeanette & Timmy Creech of Waycross; 3 grandchildren, Tate Griffin, Karah Griffin and Harmon Creech; a sister and brother-in-law, Janet & Billy Nichols of Hortense; 3 brothers and a sister-in-law, Larry & Evelyn O’Neal of Hickox, Robert O’Neal and Terry O’Neal both of Hortense; and also several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Visitation will be held Sunday evening (February 21, 2016) starting at 6PM at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.

A funeral service will be held Monday afternoon (February 22, 2016) at 1PM at the Chapel of Frye Funeral Home with Rev. E.C. Crews officiating. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Dale Johns, Kevis Griffin, Tate Griffin, Timmy Creech, Billy Nichols, and Charles Pollard, Jr.
