Kenneth "Kenny" Whetsell

Nahunta – Kenneth “Kenny” Lawrence Whetsell, 64, of Nahunta passed away Monday morning (August 16, 2021) at Memorial Satilla Health after a brief illness.
Born in Charleston, SC his parents were Mack Berry Whetsell and Judith Leorna Boyd Whetsell.
Kenny was a painter and loved spending time with his family. He also loved riding his motorcycle, working, and collecting hot rods, knives, Dale Earnhardt memorabilia and Chevrolet memorabilia.
Survivors include his 4 sons, David Whetsell, Johnny Whetsell, Thomas Whetsell and Steven Whetsell all of Nahunta; 2 grandchildren, Alyssa Michelle Whetsell and Cash Carter Whetsell; 2 brothers and sisters-in-law, Mack & Karen Whetsell and Edward Scott & Nicole Whetsell all of Nahunta; 2 sisters and a brother-in-law, Carolann & Mike Straughn of VA and Debra Poole of FL; and also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday (August 21, 2021) at 12PM at Laura Walker State Park, Shelter 4, on the other side of the lake with Rev. Trey Keene officiating.
Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
