Kevin Andy Rowell

Hortense- Kevin Andy Rowell, 54 of Hortense, passed away Sunday morning (August 11, 2019) at Memorial Satilla Health in Waycross from injuries sustained in an accident.

Born in Jesup, GA. His parents are the late Rufus Tillman “R.T.” Rowell and Selma Miller Rowell of Hortense. He is also preceded in death by his granddaughter, Alison Towers, a brother, Kerry Rowell, and a sister, Diane Rowell.

Kevin was self employed and attended Nahunta First Baptist Church. He was a musician and loved science, engineering, cooking, telling jokes, and helping others.

Survivors include his 3 daughters and sons-in-law, Megan Towers (Chris) of Helena, MT, Brooke Hatten (Dan) of Jacksonville, FL, and Hailey Rowell of Jacksonville, FL.; 3 grandchildren, Kristina, Michele, and Abbey Towers; 3 children he loved as his own, Karrah Johnson of Alaska, Jordan Lane of Hawaii, and Krystel Harris of La Belle, FL.; his mother, Selma Rowell of Hortense; 3 brothers and a sister-in-law, Stanley Rowell of Brunswick, Steve Rowell (Wanda) of Hortense, and Charlie Rowell of Nahunta; his former wife & mother of his children, Rhonda O’Quinn of Helena, MT; and good friend, Jeri Foster of Hortense. Also several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A funeral service will be held Friday afternoon (August 16, 2019) at 2PM at the chapel of Frye Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Rowell officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
