Hoboken-Lance Terry Griffin, 63 of Hoboken, passed away Thursday evening (January 24, 2013) at Southeast Georgia Health System following a brief illness. Born in Waycross, GA his parents were P.D. and Nellie Woodard Griffin. He is also preceded in death by a son, Lance Griffin. Lance worked as a Car Salesman for Ron Anderson Ford. He enjoyed watching car racing, riding around, and watching the news. Survivors include his close companion, Char Griffin, of Hoboken; a daughter and son-in-law, Amber and Byron Fields, of Nahunta; 2 grandchildren, Lancie Blanchard, and Jesse Blanchard, both of Nahunta; a brother and sister-in-law, Franklin and Glenda Griffin, of Hickox; a sister, Sharon Griffin Carlson, of Virginia; a great aunt, Evelyn Tapley, of Hoboken; 4 nieces, nephews, and their spouses, Alex Carlson, of Atlanta, Cindy and Daniel Herrin, of Hortense, Jennifer and Camron Owens, of Brunswick, and Phyllis Harris, of Nahunta. Also several cousins and other relatives. Visitation will be held Saturday evening (January 26, 2013) from 6-8 PM, at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta. A Funeral Service will be held Sunday (January 27, 2013) at 3 PM at Frye Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Johns officiating. Pallbearers will be Cody Robles, Jesse Blanchard, Tim Woodard, Jim Woodard, Alex Carlson, and Daniel Herrin. Burial will follow in High Bluff Cemetery, Hoboken.
