Byron – Larry J. Wiles, 51, of Byron passed away Thursday morning (January 12, 2017) at Houston Medical Center in Warner Robins after an extended illness.
Born in Folkston, GA his parents are Betty Lou Hendrix Wildes of Ludowici and the late Cecil Eugene Wildes. He is also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Harper Wildes.
Larry was a foreman and machine operator for Jones Land Development in Macon and of the Baptist faith. He also loved riding motorcycles.
Survivors include his 2 daughters, Deanna Wildes and Kathryn Wildes of Byron; 4 grandchildren, Tyler Younger, Jasmine Younger, Caden Younger, and Wyatt Wildes; his mother, Betty Lou Hendrix Wildes of Ludowici; 2 brothers, Cecil Lamar Wildes of Haddock and Robert Poppell of Ludowici; 2 sisters and brothers-in-law, Patricia Burkett (Alviah) of Douglas and Patsy Cook (Raymond) of Waycross; and also several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
A graveside service will be held Saturday afternoon (January 14, 2017) at 3PM at Corinth Cemetery in Charlton Co with Rev. Frankie T. Sorrow officiating.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service starting at 2PM.
Pallbearers will be Jerard Jones, Victor Flores, Bo Korink, Dwayne Wheeler, Ronnie Wainright, and Andy Harris. Pallbearers are asked to be at Corinth Cemetery by 1:30pm.
Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
