Nahunta – Larry Nolan O’Neal, 68, of Nahunta passed away Thursday morning (January 2, 2025) at his residence following an extended illness.

Born in Waycross, GA his parents were Robert Nolan O’Neal and Jeanette Johns O’Neal. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Julia Evelyn Cox O’Neal; and several siblings.

Larry worked for the Brantley Co. Road Dept as a heavy equipment operator.

Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Norman O’Neal (Marissa) of Nahunta; daughter and son-in-law, Renee Griner (Jamie) of Nahunta; 3 grandchildren, Jax Griner, A.J. Griner, Nathan Griner; 1 brother, Terry O’Neal of Hortense; 1 sister and brother-in-law, Janet Nichols (Billy) of Trudie; and also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Monday (January 6, 2025) at 9AM at New Hope Cemetery.

A graveside service will be held Monday (January 6, 2025) at 10AM at New Hope Cemetery with Rev. Chuck Allen and Rev. Jason Marden officiating.

Pallbearers will be Norman O’Neal, Jamie Griner, Edward Lynn, Billy Nichols, David Garrett, and Robert Blanchette, Sr.

Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
