Laverne Drury Frye Littlefield

Jesup- Laverne Drury Frye Littlefield,85 of Jesup, passed away early Friday morning (October 19,2018) at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Savannah, GA. following a brief illness.

Born in Waynesville, GA. her parents were Floyd A. and Aline Doris Jacobs Drury. She is also preceded in death by her first husband, Eugene W. Frye and her second husband, Hubert Griffin Littlefield; two grandsons, Adam Lee Mason and Ernest Lee Frye; her great granddaughter, Patricia Mason; four sisters, Norma Drury, Adelaide Ivey, Anita Martin, and Loretta Bishop; and her brother, Gerald Floyd Drury.

Mrs. Laverne was a homemaker and a member of Wesleyan Methodist Church in Jesup, GA. She loved to crochet, working crossword puzzles, reading the bible and encouraging family and friends with cards, phone calls or just a kind word.Mama loved to sing.above all she loved her family dearly.

Survivors include her five children and their spouses, Caroline and David Mason of Cayce, S.C., Floyd Eugene “Buddy” and Cindy Frye of Lexington, S.C., Ernest W. and Virginia Frye of Nahunta, Loretta “Ann” and Kim Littlefield of Phenix City, Al., Charlotte and Joe O’Neal of Jesup, GA. , 14 Grandchildren and their spouses, Andy and Deborah Mason of Lexington, S.C., Randy and Stephanie Mason of Lexington, S.C., Benjamin Lee Frye of Lexington, S.C., Heather Frye (Dee Daniels), of Lexington, S.C., Hollie Williams of Gaston, S.C., Gene Frye (Fairiby Hanchey), of Waycross, Kala F. and Dusty Crawford, of Bolivar, TN., Kelly and Samantha Young of Blackshear, Ashley and Jestin Lloyd, of Hickox, Jennifer and Josh Humphrey of Raleigh, N.C., Amber and Chris Dover of Phenix City, AL., Mike and Dana O’Neal, of Folkston, Billie O’Neal of Jesup, Ricky O’Neal (Tory Baker) of Jesup; 32 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren, 2-sisters and a brother-in-law, Irma Moody, of Jesup and Myra Perkins (Jesse), of Lakeland, FL., . Also several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Visitation will be held Saturday (October 20, 2018) starting at 6PM at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.

Funeral services will be held Sunday (October 21, 2018) at 2PM at the Chapel of Frye Funeral Home with Rev. Sheldon Rowell and Rev. Josh May officiating.

Interment will be in Southland Memorial Gardens on Monday (Oct. 22, 2017) at 2 P.M., in West Columbia, S.C.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Andy Mason, Randy Mason, Benjamin Frye, Gene Frye, Kelly Young, Mike O’Neal, and Ricky O’Neal.
