Kingsland-Mr. Lawrence Duncan Murray, 69, of Kingsland, died Friday evening (February 10, 2012) at Hospice of the Golden Isles, in Brunswick after an extended illness. Born in Douglas, GA, his parents were the late Joe Clarence Murray & Johnnie Ruth Ricketson Murray. He was a member of the Lulaton Baptist Church. Mr. Lawrence was an artist and very committed to his calling to the Lord. He had a passion on continually striving to come up with energy saving devices and had a very high Mechanical Engineer mind. Survivors include his wife, Alice Knight Murray of Kingsland; his son, Timothy Lawrence Murray of Kingsland; 3 sisters and their spouses, Janice M. Hendrix of Nahunta, Jeris M. & Walter Wright of St. Simons Island, & Joyce M. & Eddie Dubberly of Waycross; and also several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. A visitation will be held Sunday evening (February 12, 2012) starting at 6 PM at the Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta. A Funeral Service will be held Monday morning (February 13, 2012) at 11 AM at the Lulaton Baptist Church, with Rev. Monroe Gill officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Matthew Inman, Ashley Inman, Brad Wright, April Hicks, Dean Hendrix, and Chad Hendrix. Honorary pallbearers will be Men's Sunday School Class of Lulaton Baptist Church.
