Hoboken- Edward "Lawrence" O'Berry, 66, of Hoboken died suddenly Saturday ( December 1, 2012) at Mayo Clinic Health System in Waycross after a brief illness. Born in Jesup, GA his parents were Farley Pelton and Thelma Louise Pearson O'Berry. Lawrence was of the Baptist faith and worked as a truck driver for Ed Haddock Timber. He was a man who loved his family and friends and who was good at doing fabrication, and enjoyed wood working. Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Janice Barr O'Berry of Hoboken; 2 daughters and a son-in-law, Lisa O. & Josh Crumbly of St. Simons and Leslie O. Singletary of Nahunta; 9 grandchildren; Jeff Singletary, Eddie Singletary, Tony Keith Henderson, Rhonda Marie Hodge, Casey Wayne Henderson, Jacob Wood, Steven Wood, Charlie Wayne Wood and Ashley Wood; a brother and sister-in-law, Reggie & Mary O'Berry of Hortense; 2 sisters and a brother-in-law, Jackie O. & Troy Richardson of Killeen, TX and Denease O'Berry of Tampa, Fl; and also several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be held Tuesday afternoon (December 4, 2012) from 1-3PM at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta. A funeral service will be held Tuesday afternoon (December 4, 2012) at 3PM at the Chapel of Frye Funeral Home with Rev. R.C. Mathis officiating. Burial will follow in the family plot in the Hortense Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Phillip Chancey, Sidney Haddock, Skipper Harris, Justin O'Berry, Andrew O'Berry and Jamie O'Berry. Arrangement are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta. Sympathy may be expressed by signing the online registry at www.fryefh.com.
