Leland McClaine Myers of Nahunta, GA died Thursday (April 2, 2009) at Southeast Georgia Health System, Brunswick following a brief illness. Born in Cairo, GA, his parents were Frank McClaine and Ruby Lee Woodard Myers. He is also preceded by a sister, Dorothy Forrester. He worked in industrial insulation on cool storage and power plants with RNS Insulation. He was a member of Lulaton Baptist Church. He loved collecting antiques and enjoyed his yard sales. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Linda Myers of Nahunta, a daughter, Debra Alderman and James Cook of Lulaton, a son, Tim Myers of Lulaton; 2 Grandchildren, Brittany Alderman and Timothy Marshall; a sister, Christine Baker and a brother, Buck Myers, both of Haines City, FL; also several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be Sunday evening starting at 6 p.m. at Frye Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be Monday at 3 p.m. at Lulaton Baptist Church with Rev. Monroe Gill officiating. Burial will follow in Smyrna Cemetery, Lulaton. Pallbearers will be Tim Burkhead, Gene Knox, Joe Knox, Michael Foreman, Terry Jacobs and Gary Knox.
