Leroy Wendol Rozier

Hortense- Leroy "Wendol" Rozier, 68, of Hortense died Monday afternoon (November 29, 2010) at Hospice of the Golden Isles after an extended illness. Born in Hortense his parents were Perry Ulysses and Lola Harper Rozier. He was a supervisor for Georgia Pacific and a charter member and deacon of Twin Rivers Missionary Baptist Church. Also Wendol loved gospel sings, visiting people and gardening. Survivors include his wife, Martha Crews Rozier of Hortense; 2 sons, Byron Christopher Rozier of Hortense and Jason Kyle Rozier of Reidsville; a daughter & son-in-law, Vicki Lynn & Andy Riggins of Hortense; 4 grandchildren, Laura & Jonathan Brauda of Hortense, Ethan Andrew Riggins of Hortense, Karleigh Rozier and Gaven Rozier both of Hickox; a great grandson, Joshua Brauda of Hortense; a sister, Lola Wanda Drury of Brunswick; and also several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening ( December 1, 2010) starting at 5:30 PM at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta. A funeral service will be held Thursday afternoon (December 2, 2010) at 2 PM at Twin Rivers Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Jackson officiating. Mr. Leroy Wendol Rozier will lay in state at the church for one hour prior to the service .Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Joey Strickland, Ed Hunnewell, J.B. Strickland, Mike Strickland, Larry Pafford and Elkin Strickland. Honorary pallbearers will be Ray Russell, Ed Hyers, Joe Moody, Stanley Dowling, Charles Brauda and Harry Riggins.
