Mrs. Lillian "Miss Lil" Ruby Wainright, 97, of Nahunta died early Thursday morning (January 7, 2010) at Gracemore Nursing and Rehab in Brunswick after an extended illness. Miss Lil was born in Brookport, IL to Calvin and Ella Lynn Ogle on April 30, 1912 and later moving to KY. After a few years the family moved to Ohio, where she met her husband, Leon M. "Mack" Wainright for 67 years. She worked as a light bulb tester and at the beginning of WW2 she went to work inspecting bazooka and aircraft shells. She retired in 1977 and moved to Raybon, GA in 1982. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leon M. "Mack" Wainright; a daughter, Beverly Ann Ferguson; 4 brothers, Charles, Howard, Terrell and Richard Ogle; and a sister, Anna Jablonsky. Since 1986 she has been a member of Twin Rivers Baptist Church and a pass member of Brantley County Lions Club. She also loved cleaning and gardening. Survivors include a daughter, Loretta "Ret" Waters of Raybon; 4 grandchildren and their spouses, Jack & Connie Hughes of Northwood, OH, Rev. David & Karolee Hughes of Fortson, GA, Terry & Cheryl Ferguson of Walbridge, Oh and Rick & Pam Ferguson of Curtice, OH; 17 great grandchildren; 11 great great grandchildren; 2 great great great grandchildren; and also several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be held Sunday (January 10, 2010) from 6-8PM at Frye Funeral Home in Nahunta, GA. Funeral services will be held Monday (January 11, 2010) starting at 2PM at Twin Rivers Baptist Church in Trudy with Rev. David Hughes and Rev. Terry Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in Twin Rivers Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jason Hughes, Matt Medina, Caleb Hughes, Donnie Newcomer, Brad Simpson and Rick Ferguson.
