Nahunta – Linda Sue Herrin Howard, 59 of Nahunta, passed away late Sunday night (April 9, 2017) at her residence following an extended illness.
Born in Jesup, Ga. Her parents were Weita Herrin and Juanita Hickox Herrin. She was also preceded in death by 1 daughter, Christie Marie Howard, and 2 sisters, Martha Williams and Carolyn Lovell.
Ms. Howard was a homemaker and was of the Pentecostal faith. She loved watching westerns, cooking, shopping, and talking on the phone. She also loved gospel music and loved her family.
Survivors include 1 son and his fiance', James Howard III (Shannon), of Nahunta; 1 daughter, Creasha Ramer (Ashley), of Nahunta; 16 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and one on the way; 2 brothers and a sister-in-law, Calvin Herrin (Janet), of Hickox, James Cross of Nahunta; 6 sisters and brothers-in-law, Geneva Wilson (Rev. Leon), of Raybon, Mary Hendricks (Bo), of Atkinson, Christine Proctor of Atkinson, Delores Kennedy (Ray), of Atkinson, Cathy Drury of White Oak, and Shirley Steedley (Jimmy), of Hickox. Also several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday (April 12, 2017) at 5:00 PM at the Whosoever Community Church, 42 Community Christian Church Rd. Raybon, Ga. with Rev. Larry Altman and Rev. David Batten Officiating.
Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
